New Front Speakers
When I originally bought my Home Cinema set-up I bought Mission 771e for the front speakers and some small rear surrounds (and a 77c1 Centre), on the basis that I liked the speakers sound, and the wife liked the look (in cherry) and we only had a small lounge to fit them in. Stage 2 was when we got a bigger place to get some matching floorstanders for the front and move the 771s to the back.
Well Stage 2 may nearly be here and If I can squeeze the budget in between curtains, dishwasher and new furniture
I may be after some Mission 773e or 774 fronts.
So any-one got some good on-line prices ?
Empire-Direct and Link-on-line dont seem to stock these ones.

I'm using 775e's as a front pair .. they're the dogs danglies if you have the room.
Retail at 800ish, got mine for 600 from Unilet in New Malden (Surrey ) this time last year.. give them a call, they're usually very competitive. If you still want the 774's then they will have them in stock too - they carry most of the mission product range.

Deano,
I had delivered last week, Mission 775e(fronts), 771(rears) and a 77C1(centre) all for £649.
These are coupled to a Denon 3802 AV Receiver and the sound is just awesome
Sorry neighbours
Bought the speakers from a company called Hyperfi, they were advertising 775e's for £399.
Regards,
Rob.

Well after a quick phone around (its worth mentioning I have never managed to haggle so much as 50p off the price of anything
)
Hyperfi
No 773e or 774 but 775 @ £399
www.unilet.com
773e @ £399
Local Seven oaks shop (where I got the rest of my Speakers)
773e @£399 or Ex-Demos @ £350
E-Bay
Boxed 773e @ £250
Hmmmmmmmmm
Don't really want to spend the £399 on 775 (well I do but I dont think I should
)

definately the 775's ... g'wan you know you want to .... why spoil a system for the sake of two tanks of go-juice ...
Mine are matched with the 77ds ( mounted upside down !) and 77c1 centre and a denon AV3800 and the sound is superb.

What do you run - How do 2 tanks of go juice make the diff between 399 and 250
I make it 3 3/4 tanks.
OooooH its just with a new house and all think the 773s make more financial sense. I'm not sure it would be ruining it.
Think the Sony STRDB940, 773 fronts, 77c1 centre and 771 rears would be ok
Still getting used to demoting to a pair of rear speakers, the best speakers I've ever had
(so far)
170mm drivers vs 130mm drivers.
112cm tall vs 85cm tall

Ahh you never said that you'd accept e-bay 2nd user merchandise .... Think of the 775's as the next upgrade you'll do, just a bit earlier than planned... in the grand scheme of things, you are actually saving money ....lol
My dilemma is whether to get a sub for the system. I do only have a small flat, but the neighbours are considerate :-)

Soz Chaps, Went for the 773es on E-Bay. Mine for £250. The size for me is a nice compromise between my descrete bookshelfs and whacking great floor standers
. Also my Christmas budget was £250
Now which sub.....

not keen on missions at all.
I would consider going to www.audiot.com and lookig at their second hand stuff.
Consider something less mainstream like some ruarks!
much better sound and not adapted from hifi speakers, built from the ground up for home cinema but great at music too.
