Probably worth considering a re-install of the OS in my opinion.
Btw,you failed to mention what OS is currently installed.Perhaps we can help you more with some more info from you!

Cheers mate!

I get this. I had a fresh install of Win98 and had been fine till I put some demo progs on from a coverdisk. All was still ok and then I uninstalled the demos and now get this everytime on boot up

Suffice to say I won't be loading anything like that again - shame really as the DVD I gets full of stuff and a bit of a waste otherwise.

ScoobyJawa - you should try some kind of registry cleaner - there are lods kicking about the net. Also check your version of explorer and rundll against the ones on the CD. If they are newer, copy the old ones back

Yeah 98 is positively outdated now compared to the likes of Win2000 or XP. (Certainly in looks but more importantly, stability)If you can get your hands on a copy of either of them then that's your best route. If you're a gamer then you could even setup a dual boot environment so that you can play games on say,Win 98 and use apps/browse web/do whatever on the Win 2000 installation.Just make sure you install Win 98 first on a primary partition and then install Win 2000 on a second primary partition!

Lemme know if you need more help?

Cheers,

Nick..
