My forklift has recentally run flat and after pushing it back to the charger the charger wont "click in" because I have been told the voltage is to low in the batterys.

I was told by a forklift company today that there should be a switch inside the charger that I need to hold down/ hold shut so the charger can put some charge back in to the batteries for about 5 minutes.

I have opened the charger up today (chloride spegal) and I cant find any switch or contacts to move? Does anyone have any advice to get it going before I have to call someone out....

 

We had a truck at work which was in a similar situation so we used a normal car battery booster pack - may be of some use?

 

Thanks, I was going to try that tomorrow. Did you put the booster battery on at the same time you had the charger connected? or did you connect and disconnect the booster first?

 

Think we removed the booster first IIRC

 

Do all the cells have enough de-ionised in them? Our truck used to drink gallons of it
