I like both modern and "old" Art.
April 1st and 2nd. Anyone know of anything else happening, any technology shows or anything.
I've looked on the Time Out website and London tourist board and all i can see is the Ideal Home Exhibition at Earls court.
Any other good websites.
I also like anything music related. Would love a tour of Abbey road studios but they dont do them.

Doing both Tates as mentioned is a good idea then. You can walk down the south bank if it's nice and go on the wheel in between as well if it's a clear sunny day....or on the Tate cruiser if it's cold/wet. Design museum is worth a look as well, it's near Tower bridge.
Design museum -> Tate Modren -> wheel -> Tate Britain or in revese order would be good if you got to the first one bang on opening time.

Yep, i went when they were doing the Culture show design Icon of the 20th century exhibition (Designing Modern Britain). They had some really good exhibits - mint E-Type roadster, 1st mini and Minor ever made etc. Not sure what they have on at the moment though. It's in a nice location too with quiet streets to walk around outside and a bar by the river too.

Plenty still left to see out and about that havent been stolen/buffed.
The design museum is cool, but you do have to pay - I think it was £8 when I went, although now I think about it that might have been for a particular Frank Lloyd Wright show there.
Tate Modern is great I think, but the National Gallery amazes me every time I go there. It's an incredible collection. Velazquez is good if it's still on, but the free collections are better really.
I think the Portrait Gallery is good too, but obviously it's a bit less varied.
The trip along the river from Tate to Tate is nice, as people have said.

Kylie's **** is a work of art, I'll give you that.
Sound like you missed the best one IMO, the Portrait Gallery. Certainly for me it was fascinating to see the paintings of so many historical figures, plus the curiosity it created about what was in their minds, the time and place they lived in etc.
Been there before. Its okay, but not brilliant.
