Default How Important is it for you to get yourself just so behind the wheel

To me its everything.

If im not sat just right, the car does`nt feel right. I know it sounds a bit wiered but it does`nt seem to handle like I want it to.

When you`re sat just right you seem to be able to feel what the car is doing underneath you.

Or am I talking Bollox.

I know what you mean mate, feeling how the car is, is dependant on where you sit. Definatly!

I am the same mate!

Mmm I agree. My M3 has manual seats, and I can never get a perfect position, and am now looking at swapping them out for electrics, as I reckon the `perfect position` is in between two notches.

It really pi55es me off, as it takes months to get a decent position, and then my bro takes the car and moves it.

ditto all this. im only 5'6 and the subaru seems to cater well for all heights imho. takes a while to find my perfect position, but then im comfy in the sucky-in bucket seats for hours on end, even when flying round round-a-bouts!

The other week I thought my car had serious problems - it didn't accelerate like it normally did, the braking was awful and the clutch didn't seem to be working.

That'd be because I was wearing smart shoes for the first time in ages, as opposed to the thick soled boots I normally wear

I know somebody who had his car 7 months (from new) before discovering it had a drivers adjustable seat height thingy .

He was never that happy with the cars handling/never felt totaly in control before he found the leaver.

They say you can feel through your seat urgo through your **** what a car is doing as its the main conatct you have with car.

Anyway I`m much happier now I`ve found it, ****, ****, ****

One of the great things about the M5 is the memory seats Doesn't matter if the mechanic is a man mountain or if my little wife has driven it, press button 1 and it all fits me again...

Mind you it took me an hour of fiddling to get it right in the first place...

I find it very important too. Luckily the Mini Cooper is easy to get just how I want it.

I have to ensure that my male specific parts are comfortably positioned in relation to the seat, underpants etc, otherwise I just cant concentrate.

Any other blokes find this problem ?

This has to be the "gayest" thread ever.

Get in - turn key - drive away.

Crash as your feet can't reach the brake pedal
