Now this really does take the bait
Forget immigrants lowering wages, bleeding the benefits system dry and generally lowering the tone of the area. Headline in my local rag today:
"Foreign fishermen visiting Sandwell Valley could leave council taxpayers with a bill for thousands of pounds to replace the fish they are eating."
"The men...have been blamed for the declining fish stocks by illegally eating the fish they catch rather than returning them to the water like sporting anglers....."
"....It is beleived the men are taking the fish away and barbecuing them on the shore..."
"It is absolutely clear that they are Eastern Europeans..."
Well, it looks like they've had their chips

The company that I work for employs a fair few eastern europeans, we are set in a fairly rural location and opposite the works are some fishing lakes. We have been asked to try and keep our workers away as it appears that their carp population is being reduced somewhat.
This is a fairly common occurance I beleive.

Hundreds of the graceful creatures have been killed. A police spokeswoman confirmed last night: “We are appealing for information over the disappearance of swans.”
The slaughter first came to light three months ago. Since then swan numbers have plummeted and the crime is causing serious concern.
The Met report confirms: “There have been incidents of swans being killed. It appears to be the work of Eastern European gangs.”
All swans belong to the Crown. Injuring or killing one means a £5,000 fine or six months in jail.

OK so whats the problem. Their only doing what they are used to. Now I'm older and wiser, I don't see the point in sport fishing. I mean your catching fish fonly to throw them back, only to go to a fishmonger to buy stuff caught by someone else.
Sorry, I catch fish to eat, not for any other reason.
