he said i cant drop them off i will not meet you half way it said you have to pick up from oxford.
i dont mind but i only put a bid on them as he was going to drop them off.
where do i stand or what would you do

You can report him to ebay saying that the item was not as it was described that you had a agreement with the seller and that he broke it you've waited a decent amount of time to report him which he could of sent them by courier in the last 2 weeks when he knew he couldnt deliver the alloys. You should get a refund.

if u dont want them you have three options
1) contact him and see if you can amicably cancel
2) just forget about it (assuming you havent paid yet) then if he negs you, neg him back explaining why you didnt complete - that way people who view your feedback wont be too concerned
3) complain to ebay - assuming you have proof, but personally i wouldnt bother
If you do want them just give into his demands.
Personally I'd tell him to shove it, out of principle. If he's lied to you this far, can you rely on the goods being any good when you get them?

Cancel the deal or,pay him the amount minus your travel costs.
If you decide to cancel the deal, leave him negative feedback with the comment.Put a complaint to ebay as well.
Such sellers give Ebay a bad name and it is full of them!

Of course ! If this was agreed before you bid thaen thats part of your contract which is an agreement by BOTH parties. So if he changes his terms and you don't agree then the contract is void.
