SONY PUTS £35,000 RALLY CAR UP FOR GRABS: NEW WRC MOVIE
16:39 Sony's pulled all the stops out for the launch of itis awesome looking rally title, World Rally Championship, for PlayStation 2 on November 30. Think you're good? How does a £35,000 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6 - Tommi Makkinen Edition car sound?
There are prizes and there are prizes, but this takes the cake. The monstrous car goes to the winner of a pan-European challenge beginning in the weeks after the release of the game. We received the following from Sony today:
"First off, you have to complete a 'Rally License' (one of the options on the main menu in the game) which will give you a code and details of how to register for the full challenge on the game's website. On the Thursday before each challenge weekend, we'll post an unlock code on the WRC.com website which, when entered into the game, will unlock the first challenge.
"These challenges will be on a specific stages using specific cars, so everyone's on equal footing. You'll have until midnight on Sunday night to post your fastest time by entering the corresponding code. On the Monday, we'll update the leader-board for each territory. At the end of the fourth challenge, you'll be given an aggregate time and code that you can post onto the website leader-board. The person with the fastest time will be asked to send his memory
card in for adjudication and will go forward to the European final at the Cyprus Rally next March.
"Each local territory winner will get a full racing games unit (Sparco seat, force feedback wheel, TV etc.) and will also be flown out to Cyprus to watch the Rally and take part in the European final."

If I won it I'd keep it.
I love the looks of the EVO VI ( can't say the same about the VII ).
It's one of the most stated cars on the road.
I'd better buy a PS2 and get practising.
Is the game still due out on 30th Nov as I have one on order with Amazon.
