Default Worst Motorway Junction in the Country

My vote goes to J11 M4. ALWAYS traffic queues any time of the day or night, poor lane layout - which everyone ignores anyway. And if Reading FC are playing at home then it's 100 times worse.

I can't wait until next season when they're in the Premiership and the matches will be even bigger....

M25, northbound, junctions with M20, and A2 in quick succession, then the dreaded thieving Dartford tolls, which often block the whole lot into an 8 mile tailback

It's got so's I won't use it outside of around midnight-5am

The M1,M621,M62 interchange has to be one of the most dangerous I know. Quite how we haven't had a 30-40 car pile up yet at tea time on the South bound out of Leeds is beyond me.

M40 J4 (Handy Cross to us locals) without a doubt. A busy roundabout with traffic lights all the way around, mixing local and motorway traffic. When it gridlocks (as it does regularly) you can be stuck for hours.

I'd vote for the M6/M5 interchange - barrelling out of Birmingham, rise up a hill, round a long blind curve, junction joins on left as you're confronted with the M5 exit at the 3rd of a mile marker posts - NO previous warning signs that M5 interchange is coming up at all!

So you've got motorway traffic at 70 plus, joining traffic at 30-40, plus exiting traffic who had no warning the interchange was coming up all in the space of 3rd of a mile on a sharp bend.........LOL you could'nt make it up!

Another M5/M6.

2 miles of downhill empty motorway after West Brom...then gridlock all the way to Walsall

M6 midlands junctions 7 to 10= Useless motorway full of trucks, middle lane hogs, last minute brakers, and rear bumper magnets.

It's most enjoyable watching your life pass before your eyes with only the ****-end of a Transit to look at

On a related theme - anyone else avoiding the M25 tonight - 20 miles of queues clockwise from J11 - J20 That's my usual route home Only alternative is - wait for it - via J11 of the M4 - which is exactly where this thread started.......
