anyone had or know anyone who has had the laser treatment for the correction of bad eye sight... there are so many companies about offering this and that... no one i know has had it done.

I had LAZIK to correct shortsight and woudl recommend it highly. I recomend that you think carefully about where you have it done and who does it though..... it's not really something you want to go wrong .... probably best to work off personal recommendation. I know a few people who have all had good results. My wife has had an initial consultation and is having the Op soon. LASIK is the newer, less proven & less painful option and definately the most popular. PRK is more established but also (considerably) more painful .... apparently.

There is a wide variation of cost (and presumably quality) from around £500 to £1500 PER EYE. A search will bring back a number of clinics which seem to be clustered around London & Leeds.

The procedure is definately not for the squeamish and does rely heavily on the skill of the surgeon and the quality of their equipment.

We're going for an expensive option with a named surgeon who has a good reputation, but I also know someone who went for the bottom end special offer and reports a good result.......

I had it done in manchester 4/5 years ago
cost 40.00 consultation
800.00 after that, If you apply they will send you a video.
It's worth it i think, email me if you want to know more.
