Noticed loads of squad cars on the M1 today around J10. Saw one Impreza parked up for what looked like speeding. Must have been around a dozen cars pulled over on the J10 intersection.
Keep your eyes open around there!

Regardless, the whole operation (large by the looks of it) would cost far more than what would be issued in fines.Anyway, this is EXACTLY what WE ALL WANT. Police out there, getting the badly driven, middle lane drivers, excessive speeders, untaxed, uninsured people off the road. Or would you rather speed cameras everwhere which are far more profitable.

i don't know where it goes to be honest, but was under the impression the police worked for the government.
They can't get 'revenue' or 'fines' from people that aren't breaking the law.
Hopefully people will start driving better.
I know the M25 round clacket lane well, it's busy and an accident hotspot, there's always crashes there as people drive too fast through that 'junction'. Ends up with people moving/swerving over as people join the motorway just after the services. Most people slow down a bit for normal junctions but not this one so good job that they're doing something about it.
This is EXACTLY the sort of road policing that we've all been calling for, proactive, prevents accidents in known trouble areas etc. but it's still not enough for some.

agree with ya, the "junction" is terrible.
lots of it is caused by foreign lorry drivers, (its about 2hrs from dover so most of them stop there for tacho breaks)
however, the cameras were not set up to look for bad driving middle lane hoggers,(whatever nationality) or speeders, and the police were not looking for these either. afaik they were for tax and insurance.
speed cameras would not get any money from people who were not breaking the law either but people moan their *** off about them all day.
the vosa were also pulling cars at leatherhead most of the day 2, to check whether your car was roadworthy.
not just old $hit boxes either. when i went by there were at least 6 cars in there of which 2 looked very new

). I saw about 20 policepeople standing there last week while I was giving my gtt a "road test" with my new side exit exhaust, which isn't that subtle! I was just waiting to be stopped but it never happened.

i hope
Wonders never cease. GOOD thing too. Too much emphasis on cameras and the public needs the police on the roads to sort out the bad driving.
