Phone line rental - landline
Hi,
More financial queries. Phones this time. We're wanting to cut the cost of our calls from our landline. Now we have two lines and we've decided that one can go. I'd like to reduce the line rental on the other but it seems there isn't a lot of leeway on rental. Probably because of the price that BT sets to other suppliers (good guess?). I also want to have broadband so I do need to keep a landline. And some say you must have a BT phone line for BB ......
So, any more bright ideas? I've been on the 'switch' type sites and we can save by going with other folk. But I'd just like some (legal!) scam to minimise the line rental ... or is that just wishful thinking ????

Go on NTL BB, you dont have to have a landline with them , I havnt, My mrs has her BT line for the gabbin n all that and I have my seperate NTL BB.
...Or go on the ntl package with the Phone, BB and tv all in one (if you dont want the tv then dont Watch it, Disconnect it...
Its £25 a month and that gives you 1mb BB......I think,

move your line rental & calls to Talk talk,
move your isp to tiscali/ toucan or similar.
we have talk talk 12+ 1 year of free calls to any uk landline from 6pm until 8am mon fri and all weekend free
average bill pcm is £5 line rental is per bt (although cpw) will do it cheaper
and bb is 15.99 pcm
