What I don't understand about this case was the call by a senior police officer for hanging etc to be brought back for the killing of a police officer. Why can't it be brought back for all murders. At least police officers when they join up are aware of the risks.

In any case I hope the guilty parties are found.

We cant bring the death penalty back it would mean that we would have to leave the EU as it is against their Human Rights to be killed.

So the government no longer has the ability to bring it back even if they had the Political will!

Also MP's dont believe in the death penalty (until the terrorists blow enough of them up) and they wont represent the view of their voters on this despite claiming on other matters to feel compelled to vote a specific way as it represented their voters!
