James May is one of the best reasons to watch! He has his own personality. Clarkson actually respects him. (I would guess he likes May better than Hammond)Ive noticed over the last season or so. Hammond has become a facsimilie of JC. Which may boost egos, but makes for worse TV.

James May is one of the best reasons to watch Top Gear and his columns in Top Gear magazine are a delight to read. Clarkson's schpiel is funny and entertaining but May's wit is far more subtle. Haven't watched ANY of the current 5th gear series as it is a very poor copy of Top Gear so I'll wait for the re-runs on Discovery Home & Leisure on a rainy day when I've nothing better to watch.
Whatever happened to "Driven"? Thats been gone a long while now hasnt it?
Only 6 episodes in this series of TopGear... Im sure there are normally 8? Or it is 8 "Best of TopGear" following each series maybe?...

Only 6 episodes of TG as its up to Christmas.
Yep Top Gear is the best motoring programme, Fifth Gear is wachable but only as a filler whilst Sunday comes around, even my missus can cope with it, I think its a good formula and there is a good chemistry between the presenters, I think the banter is real rather than contrived. I think the other lot are good presenters as well, could listen to Tiff Needell all day, he's like your cool uncle !
