is it just me that doesn't find Little Britain funny?
myself and the other half are going to a little britain party soon.
not having seen it, we borrowed the dvd from a friend.
after watching the first one, we looked at each other and both asked "what do you think?".
basically, it's really hyped and people at work think it's hilarious, but we still fail to see why.
Anyone else think it's utter cr@p?
imho
funny: only fools and horses, fast show, blackadder 2 onwards, young ones, harry enfield, jack dee, lee evans, red dwarf 1-7, rah rah rah
unfunny: little britain, blackadder 1, erm, can't think of many others.

I thought it was funny the first couple of times I saw it.
Then I thought it was the same gag week after week after week after....zzzzzzz
I can see the appeal to the same people who became addicted to Tellytubbies, which was basically the same thing - the same thing again and again to drum it into small minds...

The fact that its been as successful as it is would suggest that it does have lots of followers.
Personally, I think it's great, a made all the better by the silly voiceovers by Tom Baker

The very first time I saw it I didn't get it at all. The second time I saw it and it just happened to be the same episode again (about a month later but before all the hype started) and I laughed my socks off. Don't know why, but I think it takes a while to "get".

Seem to remember that The Fast Show got by alright on repeating the same sketches week after week. Oh what short memories we have....
Different people like different things - simple as that. I like Little Britain - not everything works, but show me a series that didn't have some dud moments - Monty Python has its fair share.
I love League of Gentleman (off to see the live show in December) - I know a lot of people don't 'get' that either, but it makes me laugh and that's all that matters.
Warrenm2 - the only brainless thing around here is your daft comment!

I'm not a fan either. My boyfriend thinks it hilarious, so it gets very frustrating when he repeats all these jokes to me and I havent got a clue what he's on about!
Although I do know what 'bitty' means............

Some are good, others are more stupid than comedy. Why do people laugh at stupidity? I dont "get it" its very repetitive, tried to like it but just find it, well, sh!te....
Same with Bo Selecta. some great jokes in there but the majority of it is based on people laughing at stupidity???
