Default How long after....

splitting up with up with someone should you wait before seeing someone else? m8 has just split up with his mrs of 7 years they have a 6yr old boy. This only really happened 2 weeks ago but he already been asked out by somone at work..i say it is too soon as it will make it look as if he been seeing her all along...what do you think?

I would personally wait a whilst, its not specifically the ex thats a concern its the kid, if he thinks that he has been cheating, it could be the end of his relationship with his kid! just my 2p

Its not other people's perceptions, its what he wants to do & feels is best for him.

I don't know enough about him or his circumstances to accurately comment.

As above, it's more up to those involved to decide that.

For all we know, the realtionship could have effectively been over for a year or more, which would put a different spin on things.

I'd normally wait until the ex is out of the house before you start nailing the next one, but any time after is fine.
