paypal questions ??
Okay finally filled in the paypal online form and just received a confirmation email that my account is now activated, went for the personel account as I only intend to send cash thru this systmn rather than receive payments this way on ebay etc.
thought that whilst filling in the online form I would have been asked for my card numbers etc ?? I take it it is not until I do my first transaction that I will have to fill in the details off where I want the cash taken from ?? which in my case is visa card.
obviously I had to confirm my email address by clicking on the activation email which was sent from them, then to which I had to enter my password, take it this is a one off and I will not receive any other emails with links for me to confirm personal details etc ??
lastly !! Is the account okay to be used straight away, if not how long does it take to become fully working ??
any advice as always most appreciatted.
cheers,
john

You can add credit cards or bank accounts. I'd use a credit card in preference as it takes an age for paypal to DD the money to them and then pass on - over 10 days in some cases, credit card is pretty much instant. You need to register your card and they will deposit / charge a small amount to your card with a reference. This will appear on your statement. When you get that, you enter the ref and it validates your card as being yours. It should be under one of the numerous options to add a card - probably the home page as well. I'd crack on with this as the validation takes a while depending on when your next bill is due.

Thanks mate, yep have now entered the visa card info and now have a "card held on file" message, so will waitt until I receive my bill now and gain the neccesary info required, and I take it my account will then be verified ?? ask this because I notice it also mentioned direct debit bank account info to confirm id ?? would rather just stick to the card method only if possible thou.
says I can use the paypal facilty up to a certain level straight away until verified so thats fine just now.
thanks again anyway mate,
john

top tip: if you have access to your credit card statements online, then you can log in and get the code more or less straight away.
No messing about and waiting for your statement to come through the post

Thanks for that mate !!!
unfortunately dont seem to have the option off having my card used in this checking method, have had the card / address verified by using there telephone call back service but dont seem to see the card checking service you mention.
seems I have to enter my bank account details and have my account checked this way. pity as can see this taking a bit more longer than the card method !!!
thanks for the tip anyway !!!
