My fish now have a "moon" .....2 blue LEDs fitted up in the hood. When the main lights go off at 9pm the "moon" comes on till midnight!

You havnt got 'neon' tetras in your tank have you?? ....gets coat!

Seriously though, what fish? and any behaviour changes (of the fish that is) with the change in lighting conditions?

 

fish acted as though the lights were out. Cardinals (no neons.....they are cheap fish for chavs ) all went to sleep and the plec and catsish came out to play.....except i could see them!

Fish :

25 Cardinals
5 white mountain minows
1 tiger plec
2 pictus catfish
2 banjo catfish
5 ottos
loads of ammano shrimp

& 4 Firemouths (very nice as they are small, no doubt they will eat the tetras at some point!)

 

Would be interested to see the results and what you used.
I am having huge probs with lighting in my tank atm as it is not penetrating the water enough and my plants are suffering big time
