Clarkson and his fellow presenters have recently occupied their time by handcuffing themselves to buses (At Hammersmith Broadway bus station) while shouting slogans about the pollution etc. generated by buses when compared with private cars. They encouraged passers by to use cars rather than environmentally unfriendly buses.

The BBC have said that their actions were a response to similar protests by members of Greenpeace and other green nutter organisations.

I know that the Transport 2000 demands that Top Gear be removed from TV screens met with some interest on here and so thought that you might like to tune in and keep an eye out to see if reports of this protest appear in the show over the weekend.

Just remember that it is actions such as this, and indeed those carried out by some members of this forum, that are ensuring that you are allowed to use private transport at all. With this in mind I would encourage as many as possible to engage in some form of protest in support of keeping your access to your car, should it only be to write to your local newspaper.
