A CAUTINARY TALE!!
Let me tell you a tale of how my week has gone so far..
I have bought 2 things for mine and my other halfs car this week..One was off EBAY and one was bought and picked up personally off a seller on the forums..
So far so good....Anyway..BOTH of these items were faulty..and when i say faulty, they was broken and been repaired internally, but to no standard at all..On external inspection, you couldnt see any fault..
Spoke to the 2 people concerned that sold me the items..."they was ok when i sold it too you" was the speech of both of the people(they could have been sat next to each other!!!!)Both not willing to return money for faulty goods..Ripped off and dicked up tharse to the tune of £240..Harsh lesson learnt..
This morning the missus decided to do a car boot sale and get rid of all the bits and bobs that were lying around..She set off on her 1st booting experience at 6am this morning..she did well, selling loads of stuff, but the day was blighted by one incident.A lady was looking at some silver necklaces.there werent valuable,in fact they was selling for 50p each.Anyway this paticular person rolled 3 of them in her hand very deftly, and walked away without giving the £1.50p..My missus thought "the cheeky bugger" and called after the woman,at this the woman started screaming and shouting in an unusual, intelligable language and ran off..
No great loss..but thieving from a car boot..can you go any lower??
Next,i was sat at the traffic lights this afternoon, when a Nissan Primera swung around the corner on my right, misjudged it totally and hit the o/s/f of my car bumper and wing..If this wasnt bad enough,he reversed and sped off, leaving me in busy traffic unable to turn round..Fortunately a guy gave chase and by the time i had spun round and went lookin for this guy,he had him boxed in..Brilliant..Police were called...After much messing about with the police, they said"we cant find out who this guy is,the name that he gives isnt on police file, there is no tax or MOT on the car so chances are he aint got insurance either".he subsequently got arrested anyway because he was full of ale..
Now there is one thing that ties all these seperate stories..im sure you can guess..I will leave you to draw your own conclusions..

Lest say example scummo's ins is £ 1K per annum
Tax £ 130.00
MOT and keeping it legal is £ 200.00
Scummo has not had the above for 2 years then he/she has saved £ 2660.00
I doubt if a fine will match that level.
Scummo is unlikely to be able to pay much per week in fines.
Crushing scummos couple of hundred quid banger is an incovenience but not much of a problem as scummo's mates will always have another car for them. Community service (even in bright orange overalls) is not going to bother scummo to much, good chance to see their mates
The deterrents are not in place. There are less Traffic Police out there as we seem to rely on cameras instead and cameras do not make any difference to scummo.
Scummo doesn't care or can be made to care unless scummo has the right motivation to.

Were they all cat owners by any chance?
... And would I be correct to suggest that three posts from now Fatscoobyfella will confirm I'm right?

Actually its quite funny because we did a car boot and you get some real chav scum there, trying to pay 50p for a £5 item etc. However i digress..
The local kebab shop owner turned up in his badly stickered and patched WRX and saw a pair of kicker shoes, tried em on and tryed to haggle. We were only asking £2 ffs but im not sure if he realised but they were womens kickers with a heal on em or he may be that way inclined lol.
