Default Why have my goldfish turned white?

No they are not dead! They used to be a nice orange colour but are now 95% white. Mate reckoned it was puberty but im not buying that.

mine did the same two years ago and are still alive, but i don't know why either

take my fish to the vet???u jest! its old age thats all.they go grey,then the teeth fall out,then they become incontinent(which is ok since you cant tell,no expensive adult fish nappies for them) then they start wandering to strange parts of the tank when you dont expect it.its the normal fish aging process.my advice is cook the barsteward and b done with it.hope this helps.

you aint heating the water are you as been told colour will fade if in tropical aquarium

i'm still waiting for proof though in mine

the sun ruined a suite of mine a few years ago - it faded terribly!

I bought 2 black fantails, went on holiday for 3 weeks and when i came back they were both orange.
