And the wobbly camera, smoke, Chinese nattering and the occasional bobbing head adds to the "atmosphere".

I've never seen a pirated dvd that doesn't look crap. Don't buy them myself but mate does when he goes to Thailand and mostly I'd rather pay the extra few quid, esp as you can get nearly all DVD's for <£10 apart from the latest releases if you look around (blockbusters do cheap ex rentals too) so you get the real thing, not some grainy pic with 'property of new age cinemas' running across the screen every 10 minutes

A bloke at my work sells them. The guy's a w@nker so personally I'd rather pay a bit more at www.play.com for a real one rather than line his pockets. Not really a protest against pirate DVDs, more against the scummy people who sell them.
Plus, there's always *cough*bittorrent*cough* if you're into DIY.

Has Jack Clark voted yet.....? I wouldnt ever buy pirated ****e, whilst the claim that it funds people smuggling is bollocks, it funds the weekend of the ****** at the car boot / sunday market..... the quality is usually appalling.

Never bought any.
I saw Kill Bill at a friend's a bit back and all the people walking past the camera and the couple arguing to the front made it annoying!
