Default Anyone work for Channel 4?

If so could you get them to turn the bloody adverts down?

They're always twice as loud as the programme they are interrupting.

Bad enough but now there are so many ringtone adds it's not going to be long before TV meets open window then lawn.

Isn't some manufacturer supposed to designing some Sky+ type box where it records what programs u want and it will miss out the adverts?

I have to agree that Channel 4 (and 5 - well actually any channel really) are bad for adverts.... but having just recently spent a week in Canada and got to view TBS - now they have a lot of adverts

Isn't it supposed to be against broadcasting rules But whilst you're at it, can you also tell them that everybody has seen every episode of Friends at least 28 times over, so they can put something else on now

unfortunately watching friends for the 28th time is often the best option.

Lee Evans says it because the TV people want you to hear the adverts whilst you are in the kitchen making a cup of tea, the TV is shouting at you.

BTW has anybody had an acident at work or at home or on the road that wasn't their fault...?

Have you had an accident at home, have you had an accident at work, have you had an accident in your underpants ? Do you want to combine all your accidents into one convenient monthly accident © Radio 2 comedy show

That guy fitting the fire alarm who was given the wrong ladder absolutely creases me every time

Yeah, he had one of those 'going-down' ladders instead of a 'going-up' one. Poor deal I say.

It's common practice over here, and when I was back at xmas, seemed to be the norm in the UK now too

It is, as other said, to get your attention.

Very annoying indeed.

Rather than complain to C4, take the complaint to the Advertising Standards Agency, as they, I think (unless it's the broadcasting commission?) deal with complaints about advertisments, and it might be that they could do something, then again, what is being done might not actually break any regulations.
