Default Anyone heard of Revo Technik?

Software to 'enhance' bhp and torque.

Just wondering if anyone had used/has it on their car, and the outcome of it.

Mate of mine had the ecu remapped in his Leon Cupra R last summer - pushed it up to ~270bhp IIRC, they even do a little gadget so you can swap between the "stock" version and the remapped one!!

He was really pleased with it!!

There are other companies about though - JabbaSport spring to mind!!

They're pretty big in the VAG 1.8T tunning field. Basic remap can take a 180bhp engine to 215bhp. Think it costs about £500. You then buy a SPS module to switch between standard and tweaked map. That's another £200.

Its just a remap, like having a TEK2 in a scooby. My mate in his GTi had it done and he loves it!

The 130 TDi has been known to go to 190hp with just a remap. Revo are a great bunch of chaps. Did some work on my Leon Cupra R

Smile try before you buy...

Next week my mate is going to have a 'Trial' of the Revo Technik in his Audi TT. The company is Midland VW based in Cannock and they will let you try it out before you buy.

Its supposed to be a simple plug-in chip which overides the ECU, they reckon it'll take his TT from 180 to 212 BHP but with considerably more torque which is what he wants.

They plug it in and then you take your car for a spin for a few hours to see if you like it. Great idea me thinks.

They plug a laptop into the diagnostics port. Its not a plug in chip. They reflash the ECU, its a 5 hour (actuall engine running time) trial.

Saw it in action on the weekend at Castle Combe, on an Audi - chap had a 'remote control' that had 'pots' on it that equated to different setting on engine ECU (timing/boost etc)

He could have the economy of a Fiesta diesel on one setting and the power of a Mclaren with another. Nice!
