In a sandwich, with tomato ketchup is nice.

Or as corned beef hash

Put some peeled potatoes on to boil.
Chop up corned beef into cubes.
Drain the potatoes when they're cooked - put them back in the pan.
Put the cubes into a pan with the boiled potatos and some butter/milk.
Mash the cubes and the potatoes into one big load of mash.
Put the mash into an oven dish and sprinkle grated cheese on the top.
Bung in the oven for 10 minutes so the cheese melts.
Remove and serve with your choice of vegetables, peas, beans etc.

Mmmmmm

Cold in a sandwich, defo not fried! Plenty of salad cream though

Or fry some cooked potatoes, add onions, then finally tin of corned beef, voila, corned beef hash! Add plenty of tomato ketchup (and possibly a fried egg on top) and eat

Crusty Rolls with Beef and Onion Crisps

Or Cornbeef Casserole
Peel pots sliced thinly and layer at the bottom of a casserole dish
Chopped Onions with Leeks or cabbage and peas
Chop up cornbeef into cubes and layer
OXO cubes and mixed herbs
Top use the rest of the sliced pototeos on the top
Cook for a long as you like on a low heat longer the better
great meal on a cold day

This thread reminded me of the Corned Beef song from Phoenix Nights

"If you're feeling rather hungry, hey there's a product you'll remember,
Eat hot or cold on Sunday, or you can put it in a blender.
Corned beef with chips or with salad,
Its corned beef - evening Buckingham Palace eats corned beef.
Hey, why don't you try corned beef hash!"
Don't get me started on the 'black bin bags song'

I like the sound of most of this thread, but I usually make a stew with it to fill up a large yorkshire pudding.

I'll second that vote, they're now doing a spicy variety.

I've done my own version of corned beef hash (is the H silent?) many a time, but THAT sounds like a method that's well worth trying. Cheers dude

i remember when i was a kid (early teens)i had demae ramen (japanese instant noodle)
and i used to have some lunchen meat

it was the usual tin with key etc

one day the key got untangled and i couldn't get it to work, the tin was half opened
didn't thought of a proper tin opener then

so i got my finger and thumb held the dangly bit tight and pulll............................................. ....

i had a massive cut on my finger, it put me off lunchen meat for a VERY long time
ps that day i lost my appetite, cos i might be eating a bit of skin
pps to this day i can still feel the tingling on my finger evertime i tell that story
