Default Is it me or is there something wrong with this site?

Looking for michelin tyres and this site has gone bonkers on me - won't load, even allowed pop-ups and it still doesn't load ..... my anti-virus seems to be blocking it ...

Or is it me?

Could you lot take a look and see if it works?

SERIOUS!!

http://www.michelin.co.uk/ seems to work fine for me.

Diagnosis: user error.

p.s. are you sure popups are enabled? The page you quoted does require a popup.

Doesn't work on mine.

My system won't allow it.

PSL, you need to enable popups for the site, it opens a smaller window for you to select your car model etc. Also check that it hasn't already opened the window behind other windows on your desktop!

Does my Scooby need a Z rating (as I have on now) - Michelin Pilot Sport 205/50 R16

I have seen that its ok to put on V, W, Y or Z

Is it only Z or will V do?

LOL @ UB

Pete, you could take the OAP bus pass straight to the tyre selector page:-

http://tyres.fortune-cookie.com/tyre-selector.asp

(who's the brighter bulb in the box now then eh? )

V - rated tyres can sustain speeds of 240kph (149mph)

Should be more than enough for your gay MX5

And you ask a question like this...

if we said jumping off cliffs gave an extra 30 bhp would you do it pete...

what tyres size/ rating does it state in the handbook pete????

if you change to somthing different, you must inform your insurance....

cos if you dont and have a prang .. any excuse not to pay.

WAYAYYY i cant believe it,we have actually dispensed info to pissy pete!!!!!!

makes a change!!!

Whats the tolerance on these things?

My foot might get jammed and I end up doing about 135mph, would they be safe??

Whats the top speed of my Scoobie MY00?

Pete

Is this the first set of non-solid tyres you have ever bought for a "motor-carriage"?

If you are still on your original tyres and brakes (as you used to boast was the case) then I'd have thought V rating would be MORE than enough for your purposes!

I'm sure that an experienced driver and fervent speed limit supporter such as yourself would never get his foot "jammed" on the accelerator, intentionally or otherwise...

Unless he had a heart attack at the wheel and subsequently died
