Not used a Dell X5 myself, but normally the PDA sits in a cradle which connects to the PC via serial or USB. Using software that the PDA comes with you can install programs onto it, or send/receive files.

Also if you dont already have a screen protector (protective clear film which sticks to the screen) - protects against scratches etc - then let me know as I have some in stock for the Dell X5

go to my computer and there will be a 'drive' called mobile device, in there is essentially the memory of your PDA. I take it you have activesync installed?

you have to open the pda icon to delve into the file system, you cant just dump to an icon

and a memory card would be a big help also
