Cool Decent tree lighting

Where can I get a decent string of outdoor lights, with the bulbs spaced at sensible (at least 8") intervals, that can be left in a tree all year round?

Preferably not the transformer type, and DEFINITELY not the type with the poxy multi-function box in the line.

I think you are looking for Festoon lighting. 40watt proper lightbulbs fully waterproof sockets etc. However it not cheap. Got some for a carnival float in September and trying to remember where. Was a trade outlet though, in Crawley, BDC sounds famiiar but wrong! However search for Festoon lighting.

Remember to lweave slack cable to allow for growth!
