Question Why do people feed pidgeons?

Just wondered why some people feed pidgeons. They are just rats with wings after all. In the park opposite my office there are hundreds of the things. The council put up notices asking people to stop feeding them as they are a health hazard. The next day the notices are ripped down and the pidgeon feeders are out in force!!

People who feed pidgeons should have a bucket of fresh birdsh1t thrown over them.

this may be a sweeping generalisation but people who feed pidgeons normally have mental problems

maybe god told them to do it?

Because they are ignorant of the facts; and they like to help the nice birds who are their friends

Maybe it gives them "an enormous sense of well being."

Oh btw, PIGEONS, not pidgeons

I never could spell.

Maybe a trip out to feed the pigeons is the highlight of these peoples day. Should probably feel sorry for them, but I don't.

Me and my brother used to feed pigeons in the park. Very chilling indeed, get a bag of chips, find a bench and let the pigeons flock in for a tasty feast.

When they are all happy scratting around eating chips, you take them out at point blank range with a black widow/diablo armed with marbles.

Catapults can be an excellent benchmark of true marksmanship at targets less than 5ft away, headshots carry some serious kudos when you are 12 yrs old

To stop the old biddies hassling you, you have to kick the *targets* under the bench or launch them in the bushes quicksharp.

cruel, but enjoyable.

It keeps the birds grounded giving cats an easy target which in turn means the cat is concentrating on the bird which in turn means ajm can...........

It does if you live in a big, dirty city.

Why reply - does it effect yours?

Depends on how much sh1te from these b@stards you get over your car every morning.

That would worry me.

Thankfully I live in a nice area of a big city - so very few of the flying rats

I sometimes sit there with my air rifle knocking them off the top of a barn, they are as thick as **** as they all carry on sitting there wondering why the hell their buddy just left the roof void

I thought it would all depend on what you are feeding them to......

Crouch End, darling.

If you're South of the river then I'm amazed you're able to read. You must surely be looking at this site in the area's 1st net cafe. Net's short for internet, by the way. You must have stumbled upon it whilst looking for a launderette

Is it the same as feeding the doves ? I normally do that in the privacy of my own home!

(Sorry Dracoro if that's what you meant in your first post!)
