You can download points of interest and add them to the TT Go database that's stored on the SD card.
Having done that, you can then assign a sound file, so that they will alert you when within a certain distance.
Have a search on here for other TT Go threads, there's a link on one that was active a few weeks ago that will give you the download site.
I've done it and it works well. The only thing to be aware of his that the speed camera Points of Interest (PoIs) are added voluntarily, and are therefore not always 100% up to date.
PM me if you need some help on loading them onto the Go.

www.pocketgps.co.uk have a speed camera database where the data is stored as .ov2 files which TomTom Navigator uses. It also has the data stored as .csv files to import into AutoRoute as pushpins.
