Default Interesting run in with police van

Last night left home about 10pm and travelled about 5 miles to the "local" shell garage to fill up for the week ahead.

Travelled along an empty part of a dual carriage way about 80-90mph. cruised along before the roundabout pulled into the shell garage and filled up with fuel. Filled the car up and a citroen disptach police van pulls up length ways behind my car blocking me in (allthough there is another exit to the garage). I put the pump back, lock the car and go inside. They sit there for a while as i pay and then reverse into a parking space.

I get out and leave as they stare at me. And I try to pull of quietly.

Now where they just checking if it was stolen or not and judging how i acted under pressure ?. If I would of been speeding wouldnt they of cautioned me there and then and handed me a nip ?. They didnt have a camera or anything looked a very basic small van. no one was following me and i didnt see them pull off after me. and they only turned up just as i finished completely filling the tank.

Actually those vans are usually used by SOCOs only. Maybe he/she just liked your car?

No.... there for the smaller members of the law enforcement community, who have difficulty in reaching the pedals on the transit vans,

Could be a number of reasons.

Observations put out for a similar car acting suspicious in the area.
Known person in the area using a similar car
An incident has happened in the area
Called to the filling station for an unrelated incident
Called to the filling station to meet someone
etc etc

Question

Filling station has been hit by non-payers in the past? Scoob now seen as boy-racer machine, hence possible non-payer?

Nice to see the Dibble attempting to stop crime (apart from the heinous crime of speeding, which they don't try and stop, they just charge you for: ), instead of just giving out crime numbers.
