Washing machine woes
I've a problem with my washing machine. . .
It goes through the first part of the wash cycle, starts to empty water out - does most of it then just sits there clicking at me - with the dial spinning round and around. The pump is no longer running.
I then turn it off, drain the water out (about 3/4 pint) and Fire it up & it will do the same thing.
Any (not expensive) ideas?

Not an Ariston, by any chance?
Mine does this, and it's an indication that the filter is blocked.
On mine, you can do it yourself, the filter is on the front lower panel, but the machine needs to be tipped back at 45 degrees to do the job, so you'll need someone to steady it.
Check your handbook, or if it's an Ariston, post again.
