Question Radio Controlled Helicopter - £99, EBay shop

Been down town today and ModelZone have a couple of R/C Helicopters in, one is £200 the other £180.

They look like great fun, indoors and outdoors!

I have a R/C Boat (needs water, obviously) - R/C Plane (needs wide open space) and a R/C Subaru Impreza (Classic shape, of course) ........ but .....

The idea of flying the Helicopter around the house and garden appeals as it would probably get used - anyone bought one? Got one?

All I want to do is have a laugh with it .... so, please, no suggestions that I join some R/C Club full of Billy No-Mates, who are compulsive obsessives!

Also, have seen the Jabo II Mini RC Helicopter for £140 online - looks very good!

Pete

All good fun, until you hit the cat with it, then the fun tends to ebb away.

Sorry no pictures.

As for joining a 'Flying Club', I did.

I crashed a WOT4 twice, and binbagged an ACRO WOT aswel.

Whenever I flew, everyone else landed, talk about Billy no mates, we would turn up and everyone would pack up and leave......

So rather than upset everyone I retired to flying on my mates farm, and thats when the REAL fun began.

PS. Horse Vs Acro Wot..........Horse 1..... Acro Wot 0
12Bore Vs WOT4 ...........12Bore 1......WOT4 0

hi mate

what kind of controller is with it?

if you could show me, i will tell you how hard/easy it is.

if its a full control 8 way, not easy!! basically you will be buying a pile of parts, because thats all you will have left!!

this is my old one.

Stick a cheapie digital camera underneath it and rig up a simple 555 timer to trigger the shutter every 30 secs or so

yeah great fun.

not easy to fly though im afraid!!! £100 is a lot to loose if you stuff it first go, make sure you use the trainer legs, (they look like ping pong ***** on 4 sticks )

top banana unfortunatly that helo wouldnt be able to carry a digi camera, it would be heavier than the helo.

mine would have struggled and that was a petrol one!!

I've got a Hummingbird, great fun. Used to have a petrol one but to be honest I got more fun/use from the micro electric, a bit tricky but good for flying indoors or in the garden.

Dug out an old clip (from my digi cam so not good quality) from last year, bit more stable now, heli has a few more mods too.

less likely to crash (as hard) with them. it extends the landing gear of the helo!

that vids great, your very steady, i know how light those little helos are and how unstable they get with the slightest of wind gush.

jamo.

Maybe its not simple then?

My hands aren't as steady as they once were!

BUt the Nursing Home here has a nice large garden - would they crash in a breeze?
