Reading this months Empire magazine and George Lucas is releasing a Directors Cut on dvd.

What do people think about the film??

I watched it first time as a kid and was expecting Star Wars! So felt a little let down...
Until the ending which blew me away.

 

Its a bit heavy going. Not an easy film to get into. Its very much what it is, a first time film by someone with pretentions of being a serious 'arty' film maker.

Technically its enjoyable but as mentioned dont watch it if you're expecting a 'Star Wars' or an 'American Graffiti'. In fact its kind of hard to believe that it's made by the same director.
