double mattress

It's not a hard mattress you need, it could do more harm than good.
You need to look at pocket sprung mattresses (generally the more springs the better) with plenty of padding. Oh, and if you can run to a sprung edge divan too it makes a difference.

i bought a tempur mattress (foam type thing) a couple of yeasr ago. they're not cheap but they're extremely comfortable and supportive, plus they ahve no springs and stitching to wear out, so should (theoretically) last a lifetime.

You need a good matteress like the Knightsbridge 5 size £370 4.6 £340 at your nearest DP furniture express store
1096 pocket springs and will last you 10 years with a heavy demask cover
www .DP-FX .co.uk for your nearest store
i can recomend this matteress as i retail them and it is a top matteress without paying over the odds for a branded name
this post will probably get delated for advertsing now

We have had a Millbrook mattress for about a month now, although I will always have some back ache as I have a slipped disc, the new mattress has helped a LOT. We can both turn over in the night without disturbing the other.
You should really do some research about mattresses as there are so many different types nowadays........failing that go to proper 'bed shop' for advice not a large store like MFI or Kingsbury or the likes.
Joan.

Both my wife and I have suffered from bad backs over the years, however since we bought a waterbed 4 years ago the backs have been much better. Highly recommend you look at one
