I cant understand how these muslim clerics can come to this country and say what they like and be supported by the government and then a british man makes similar comments in reverse and is at risk for going to jail.

The trouble is we don't actually at this point know what his comments about Islam are and to be honest with the clever editing in todays media (hello Michael Moore) even after we have seen the documentary we still might not.

I just hope the documentary finally lays to rest any idea that the BNP aren't a racist party as their attempts at conning certain sections of the electorate are deplorable (IMHO of course).

there are laws governing when freedom of speech does not apply. if someone breaks these, then they may be prosecuted, should the powers that be decide that there is sufficient evidence and the case has sufficient merit, is in the public interest and so forth.

But Muslim clerics cannot come to this country and say what they like. A Muslim cleric has already been jailed for 9 years for things he said. No BNP member has ever received a sentence that high even for physical violence. We don't know exactly what Griffin exactly said until we see the documentary and look at your own quote - it's Griffin who has said he would face 7 years in prison for what he said - that doesn't make it fact.

How about quoting what muslims clerics have said instead of the usual...oh they can say what they like...but we can't....PC gone mad...
