Unhappy Missing........:(

No doubt the cat haters will have something to say but whatever.

Poor little bugger! He is as thick as ****, has a gammy leg after he broke it when he got knocked over....not seen for 2 days.

Poor thing. Does he normally go off for a wander? Those are sought after cats, so could well have been taken by someone. My neighbour's ragdoll cat went missing the second time he went out.

Is he chipped or does he wear a collar with a name tag on? Has he been "done"?

Hope he comes back safely.

I'm not the world's biggest cat-lover, but I hope you find him safe and well.

All the best

Really sorry to hear that Dave, hope you find him real soon Haven't seen much of our cat since the warm weather, so he might just be off hunting somewhere.

He really is to thick to hunt.

I don't think he has ever caught a bird or anything.

He has been chipped.

DavyBoy - you'd be surprised at what he can do if necessary. I've got a cushion as a cat that's afraid of her own tail, quite literally. She's slightly boss-eyed and genuinely hasn't got a clue about life, but she has caught wild rabbits and mice to eat.

Admittedly she had to learn from one of my other cats which was extremely funny - she saw him catch the rabbit and drag it back to our garden, sit on it to kill it and then drag it into the hedge to eat....however, she didn't see the actual killing of the rabbit. So she'd catch one, bring it back to the garden and sit on it. Watch it for a bit....sniff it....get bored and get off. Rabbit would run away, she'd tank after it - at which point she'd get scooped up and carried inside as I do try to prevent them if I catch them early enough.

I lost one of mine

He was last seen with a new collar on, and roaming around a few streets away, think someone has adopted him

Put leaflets and photos through all your neighbours doors asap in case he's stuck in a shed, cellar, etc. Ours disappeared for a couple of days and emerged within a couple of hours of us leafletting. Had been stuck in a shed. Crucial to do this and get people checking, especially with the hot weather, water requirement, etc.

Absolutely. One of mine went missing a few weeks back on a Tuesday. Mum leafleted the area and went searching, spoke to everyone possible - nothing. So on Saturday I went down and we tried a different area, across the other side of the A1. We found him in a barn that he'd managed to get into, but not out of.

Fortunately, the people living opposite the barn keep an eye on it for the owner and while they didn't have keys, they had been putting food & water through a slot for him.

Another of mine ran across the A1 one night and he went missing for 2 weeks. We called and searched everywhere to no avail. One Sunday we received a call from a vets 15 miles away to say that he'd been handed in, they'd scanned him and found his chip. Poor cat had exhaust burns all over his face, a fractured leg that had begun to heal oddly and had lost loads of weight due to being unable to hunt. 5 years on and you'd never know there'd been a problem, except during really cold snaps when he limps ever so slightly.

Really hope that your cat comes home soon.

have you phoned the company that has chipped it ?
they will normally notify all the local vets that he is missing.
if he's insured the insurance company will normally pay for a lost & found add in your local newspaper.

our cat went missing for 2 years.....and then we found him across the other side of town.

I sometimes think cats and us don't mix!

I have called the RSPCA and they have had nothing yet, think Dave has called the local vets...... I will do some leaflets and get them posted tonight.

Mine used to disappear for days at a time around this time of year when we first got her, I assume she was out hunting on the fields behind us, as she was always heavier upon return Nowadays she's to lazy to bother.

Hope yours turns up safe.

Stuck posters on lamp posts, delivered flyers through doors and put an ad on the radio.

Still waiting for any response.

There are certainly no cat like splats on the nearby road.

Gutted for you mate,
but, my cat's about as streetwise as...well, something really not streetwise, he disappeared one night, looked everywhere, resigned myself to the fact he'd fallen off the balcony somehow (first floor) and that was it. Still, did the leaflet thing, looked everynight and after three to four weeks begain to lose hope, then five and a bit weeks later, my mate finds him under the entrance to the marina offices where I live, covered in dust and acting like nothing happened,

moral is mate, get out there and don't lose hope, really hope you find him.

Have you asked your neighbours to look in their sheds?

Found mine this way once.
