I was one of the lucky competition winners who went on the EVO Sport Ka day at Bedford.
Was speaking to the Ford Marketing Manager for Europe and he asked us all "Have u been sent the Sport Ka advert with the pigeon" to which we all replied yes.
Ford is reaping in the publicity, very cleaver in my opinion, creates more awareness than PC adverts.

Very funny. They actually refer to this as viral advertising - i.e. where it is distributed via word of mouth etc over the Internet. There is a theory that Ford has fostered the impression that this advert was never meant for public release etc (why did they commission it then?) and that all the fuss over the weekend (which got massive coverage in all the papers - free publicity) was all part of the campaign. I think it is a pretty good theory..

One thing I would add though, is no matter how hard Ford try, they are never going to make the Ka a 'manly' car. I mean would you drive one of them?

The reason why there is a bit of a stink, it that the 'cat' advert was never to be released. Having made it they thought it was a bit too evil, but it has been leaked from someone within Ford or Ogilvy who made the advert.
