Ok,

Several years ago I used to race.. In my garage I have a £1500 ( the price it cost back then ) road racing bike that in all honesty I am never going to use again..

I am looking for any contacts/best places to sell this bike, being out of the racing scence for so many years I have no idea where to start....!!

Thanks in advance....

Mogsi- so did I, raced for several years before the wk commitment got too much and tendonitius set in; Cycling weekly is still going I think/ any of the main UK mags are the best places to advertise, do a search on the net most have web pages now...

out of interest, what set up have you got?

Ok brief rundown from the top of my head... I will need to get the bike out of my garage for the full spec....

Vitus Futural Aluminium frame, Full Campagnolo group set, Cinnelli Bars, handbuilt Campagnolo aero rims/hubs, Look pedals, tis a bloody light bike..

P1 Ben if you would like more detailed specs/sizes pictures perhaps you could PM me ... smorton@dsl.pipex.com

Richwalk - I had forgot all about Cycling Weekly, will pop in the papershop after work and have a nosey..

I'm not being funny, but don't forget that if the bike has been stored for more than say, 5 years, the components etc will be superseded, and may not even be available for replacements/spares any more.

That might affect the price you ask?

Alcazar,

I can see where you are coming from and I fully appreciate that the bike is a good few years old and I will get no where near the price it cost me originally.
I'm guessing that Campagnolo are still huge players in the cycling world alongside shimano so spare parts should not really be an issue....

Thanks for all the replies by the way, didn't think I would get this many

I have Campagnolo on my bike - spares are readily available, no problem.

You should dust it off and get back out on the road - you might have forgotten what you're missing

Advertise it on http://www.cyclingplus.co.uk/forum - should get some interest.

Just don't look in the 'campaign' section

EBAY it and sell it as buyer collects, then it’s not your problem.
You need to get it in front of the widest possible audience to find someone who knows what they're talking about.
