Can cows catch AIDS?

If someone with AIDS shagged a cow, or if a cow was to receive infected blood, would it be possible the cow could be infected?
Just to settle an office dispute.

Correct me if I am wrong and probably am but was AIDS not transfered to humans from monkeys in the first place?????
That is cross species unless you count humans and monkey as very similar.
Why would you want to **** a cow anyway ???????

Where the **** did that question come from? I nearly p1ssed myself when I read your post.
You must have some interesting work chats.
I don't know the answer but it's viral and they don't generally cross to other species.
Maybe it'd catch it if it did **** LOL

the prevailing theory is that AIDS started out as Simian (ie monkey) virus and somehow (Small Pox vaccination developed in Chimpanzee's Tissue cultures?) crossed over into the humna polulation. There is no reason to believe that it could infect a cow, chicken, hamster, dog or any other animal that you fancy having a go at, apart from possibly a monkey...
