hi,
i`ve got a hpi savage 25SS monster truck, its a 1/8th scale monster truck, a 45mph beast!
its best to think which type of car, ie truck, buggy, or rally, and size you want first (like 1/8 1/10 1/12th scale, then think if you want nitro or electric, personally i`m a fan of the truck, the savage or the tmaxx, because they both have big power, speed and are pretty much indestrucable!
let us know what you go for!
any more info neede, feel free to drop me an email mate!

If you want 1 to use on the road which goes like a bat out of hell but brakes every five minutes you cannot beat the thunder tiger ts4n. And then slap on a two speed gear box

yeah i'm more into electrics now, petrols are b*tches to maintain so no point talking about gearing, but could get the reedy brushless motor for my new electric good for 50mph!!! yeah looking at a few yokomo's and x-rays.

I have 3 Thunder Tiger TS4N's and all i'd say is that if you decide to buy more always try and stick to the same manufacturer as there will be some commonality of parts and you'll get used to the way they do build/assemble the cars.
For what it's worth I have continued to buy Thunder Tiger for a few years now as I think that they are excellent value for money and for messing around with (my lads like them too) you can't beat the TS4N's speed/handling/VFM combination.
We do have one other car (an electric one), but it rarely comes out as there's no sunstitute for the small, sound and speed of nitro!!
Cheers,
Darren.
