Why should her picture weigh any more than someone else's? I've a picture of the space shuttle on the wall in my office and I'm sure the shuttle weighs even more than Michelle and it's only held up with a single small picture hook

What worries me is that we've been told that kids like to look and act like their idols,i.e, not eating properly and stuff and wanting to be thin.

Now there all going to be eating greasy fry ups before going to school,and then 10 packs of crisps at interval and four hamburger suppers for dinner.Michelle is a fat oinker and is certainly not healthy!

I find it truly bizzarre that she won - the programme is called 'idol' after all.

Maybe its cos she was a well rounded package - certainly a good all rounder

If she could sing half as good as Alison Moyet I'd get it, but she's just a pub singer who cant manage even proper expressions when she sings IMHO.

WHY DID SO MANY PEOPLE VOTE FOR HER - we all seem to be against a fat lump on TV on this forum; she couldnt even be arsed to lose a couple of pounds over the course of the series. Michelle darling -it will simply LOOK better - camera prefers it and adds his own 8 Lbs anyway!!

Every pop idol there has been has been an attractive person, its about time that people started to judge these shows with what talen people have! Not by how they look! I live not far from where michelle does, and the local support she has is astonishing!

She has broken the mould of the "Standard" pop star! Good on her and i hope she is very successful!

Davie that is a very nice view mate - maybe easier as it has a sprinkling of patriotism invloved - but decent nevertheless.

I just think of Alicia Keys / Beyonce and then Michelle and think 'No'! And you are quite right to call that a bit ignorant or lacking in PC; I do feel I'm somewhat allowed that thought though as I too have a preference for pies (as well as some grasp of aesthetics)

Aside from the fact that i am local, i am not being biased in anyway, i vote for who i think has the best talent. Unfortunately this is not the way that all people vote, if that person is from your town, then you vote for that person, if the votes were made on who was the best, i'm sure sam wouldn't have been voted off and would have been in the final....
