Mercy Speeding
More double standards from the Law...see here
If he gets punished for this, it shows how ridiculous things have got.
Especially in light of reading in the press recently, that about 420 coppers were snapped speeding (in the Avon area I think), and only 1 was prosecuted. Apparently it's up to the discretion of the chief officer in charge, whether to press charges or not.

Very interesting, he's pleaded not guilty to speeding but has been caught on camera doing so. In the eyes of the law he SHOULD be found guilty as it will be proven he did actually speed, so is the fixed penalty a mandatory penalty, in which case surely the magistrate can't lower. If the court accepts his not guilty plea, on what basis can they do so???

Well he had a blue light on, so if his car is a registered ambulance then mitigaing circumstances should have prevented it going this far? Obviously it should be withdrawn, as with the other example in the report.
