I'm going to be flying to amsterdam , and then need to get to essen.

Anyone any idea how i go about booking a train from amsterdam to essen for about 15 of us?

I really have no idea where essen is (is it in germany?) and is it near dusseldorf? (i think that's in germany)

just back from d'dorf,

was thinking along your idea and sure i found i could book on the net via plastic for the journey, only if you could understand german

if not should be a doddle from amsterdam, i think there is a direct link from Amsterdam to Dortmund
