Any websites that specialise in cheap travel? I need a 4 day return for the ring trip but the official site is quoting 173 quid return

Hi there
You may find it cheaper to book two, one-day returns one for the day you go out and one or the return day.
Not sure of the legalities but it worked for me and other i know!
Mail me if you need more info.
All the best

One-day crossings are usually cheap, i travelled last time for aroud £ 32.00 return leaving early and returning by 16:30hrs.
I imagine that it is part subsidised for the booze-cruise mob, only a guess though.
I heard about this through a mate who does it on a regular basis, also did this meself when i went over around 2 years or so ago.
We Literally filled up a Galaxy with wine and stuff at 'Eastenders' on the way back so felt like we had done the right thing.

hoverspeed is the cheapest at the moment. 123 quid return for sept.
not sure how good an idea is the 'buying 2 tickets' jaunt. Don't you think the ferry companies will have twigged by now ??

If you read the small print you sign up to on the EuroTunnel website it say that they can charge you the full single fair applicable that day at a later date if you don't make the return trip. So if you pay by C/C I presume they can just surcharge you later without asking.
I've never heard of anyone being done like this but that's what the small print says. I usually one way using the tunnel and back using the ferry- that way I get the best of both worlds and it foxs the system.
I can't work out why one way cost £150!!!!! A day return almost nothing.

..cos they subsidise the cheap day trips from selling loads of duty free stuff on board or at the terminal..
..these pricing structures *are* under review by a govt body IIRC but who knows when or even if anything will be done about it...
[Editted because my use of correct English is very poor today]
