Just had my spanking brand new R1 motorbike nicked from outside my office 10 minutes before I finished work. Just finished with the City Police. They are searching for it as someone reported it being nicked as it happened, loads of witnesses but no one wanted to get involved with a van full of criminals.
I hope they catch the *****
I am so steaming mad and miserable at the same time I don't know what else to say... apart from the THIEVING ******* ***** IN THIS COUNTRY MAKE ME SICK....

Sorry to hear that. A gutting feeling I'm sure. I hope something suitably nasty happens to the ba$tards who stole it. They should have their hands chopped off when they're caught.

*****.
bikes are too easy to target tho innit. one van and 2-3 blokes. unless it is chained to something solied and decent chains are not easily carried
hope the ***** gets what they deserve.

Cheers guys, I have had time to calm down now, still bitterly angry about it though and just wish they had come 10 mins later so I could have caught them in the act and given them a good smack round the head with my lid
Loads of people saw them but nobody acted. I know no one wants to risk their life by approaching them but I can't understand why they just didn't shout and make lots of people aware what was happening
It was nicked from right outside my work in London in front of loads of people. The alarm was set off and they lifted it so the disc lock wasn't an issue. It was fully datatagged as well. The thing is they know security is no longer an issue and they can walk up and take anything they want in this country because no one will approach them and its going to be an easy punishment if they do get caught Its easy pickings They used a hire van and just lifted straight in the side door and were away with in minutes. Saw it all on the CCTV footage and it made my blood boil.
I should imagine it has winged its way across the channel by now as its not much good in this country with all the datatag stuff all over the fairing etc unless they have broken it for parts, which I cant see somehow with it being a brand new bike
Hope they get caught but I know realistically there is zero chance

That is bloody scandalous B20.
Why do these things never happen when i'm around? Let me tell you mate, if i'd been there, my bike or not, i'd have waded in. I'm really sorry for you - i know it's just a collection of metal parts, but i've been in the situation myself, and that's not much consolation right now. Hope the insurance gets sorted quickly. Darren I can't get another one because although I had 6 years ncd the insurance company only recognised a maximum of 5 years and they take 3 years off for a claim. So that means I am down to 2 years ncd and have a theft claim against my name, this = no insurance quote that I will be able to afford on any bike
Totally screwed
Telboy, I would have steamed in as well if it had been someone elses bike/car/wotever. Most people wouldn't I guess though. I can understand it really as no one knows what they could have been carrying with them in the way of knives etc. Just annoyed that they took my bike in front of tens of people in the street and no one did anything apart from call 999.
The bloke in the building where I work witnessed it and he said people just stood there saying look that bikes being nicked, him included
It is only a lump of metal at the end of the day but its something I am passionate about and something I have waited 10 years (ie my first 1000cc sports bike having built up to it) for to own an R1. Now not even after a week its down the pan.
I just wish the police would take more of this scum off the street.
Oh and the insurance will be at least 6 weeks as they like to wait to see if its recovered. Some chance.

feckin thieves! You spends your money you buy something you really want and some low life ****stain lifts it. Not much i can suggest but, did any witnesses get license plate (van prob stolen) we all know london is awash with cctv, maybe theres a lead there?
Failing the obvious, if/when u get a replacement, (non bike knowledge lid on here ) maybe theres some sort of tracker u can put on, i know bikes are tiny, but there must be some kind of tracker for bikes ???

Yeah they got the van plates but it was a hire van so probably just dumped it and took it out with false name etc. As for tracker, bikes are put in the back of sealed refridgerated vans so the alarms cant be heard going off once lifted so I doubt a tracker system would work as it wouldn't get a signal through the sealed cabin

Sorry to hear that Bravo,
I had my bike stolen about 15 years ago, it was a two stroke and I had just got it back from a new crank, rebore etc.
Two guys rode off on it givin it full revs. Around fives miles away they were going round a bend and the engine siezed. The rider is severly disabled and can only just walk, the passenger was killed.
The two men lived local to my mother and the rider still does. He's 37 now still single, no job. Totaly ruined his life.
I sometimes smile and wave at him when I drive by. Some people say to me its a shame it ended up like that. I call it Justice.

Possibly a bit OTT 69, but theft *does* screw people's lives up bigtime. And yet the police give it such low priority it's laughable (or not, as the case may be).
For organised crime such as Bravo's though, no end result would be too nasty, in my opinion...
