NCP have taken over the tender for wardens in central London. they are offering wardens the chance to win stuff for issuing th emost tickets.

So expect lots of little gatherings of scum wardens swopping reg details of cars...which they are always doing.

So many case of fraud involded in tickets issued.

They can't surely be more Hitlerish and deceitful than they are now?

In my old street, that had an 0830 cut-off point for non-residents on a Monday they would come around at 0800 and check the cars for non-residency, then come back dead on 0830 with pre-written tickets and run up the street to post their **** like they were on commission.

Yep they did the same in my north london street

I was in SW1, darling

Westminster's finest, or any immigrant that'd take the ****.

They're not quite so hot to trot in my new area(Muswell Hill), still b@stards though.

Maybe if they were paid enough to actually own a car they might be a little less twatish.

What amazes me is the sheer number that are employed.

There must be 5 of them to every police officer, at least.

It just goes to show how the councils view the motorists in London with contempt, or, as I suspect a money maker.

As said before. I will pay good money to see one been given a good kicking.

Followed one around soho square one day with a clipboard and camera.... he called his boss who sent round a supervisor who asked me what i was doing????

Told him i was stood listening to a right ugly **nt!!!And too **** off as it was none of his business. They called the police who came within mins!!! Told them it was none of their business as well.

Play them at their own game. Stalk them, take pics ask them what they are doing.... drive them mad.

When i am given a ticket i want it done by an English person.

It's all about revinue generation/stealth taxing again. What we need is more police, nurses, teachers and doctors, what we get is traffic wardens. Why is this, because they generate easy money for the councils to **** up the walls on whatever they fancy. Wot's worse it is our money that they use to pay with so we get double fecked over.

I firmly believe crime is a major problem in the UK not parking, so why oh why do we seem to get more traffic wardens, can only be down to money and how to generate it.

as a rule of thumb you get two traffic wardens for the cost of one copper, now which ones would you rather have patrolling your srteets, think about it next time you vote!

..on the flip side, we get at least 3 phone calls a day asking for more traffic wardens Thing is, until Decriminalised parking they're all run by the police so we can't have them...which suits me

Question

And another thing: How come it's dangerous and illegal to park in some places, but allowed, therefore NOT dangerous for someone with an orange/blue badge??

I reccon that 10-20 % of all tickets issued are illegal.

I watched a warden start to write a ticket when there was 3 min left on the meter!!!!I told him i was a witness to this fraud and waited for the driver to return. the driver did with credit still on the meter as the warden slapped the ticket on his window.

Trouble is .....not only did the driver not have to pay the ticket... They had to pay out for a large scratch to be sorted as the wardens equipment scratched the car as he was putting the ticket on the car.... well thats what me and the driver recconed.

Are these the "traditional" traffic wardens, or these council-funded "meter maids"?

Unhappy

This bonus idea is not new one company running trafic wardens for a north London council was running Christmas Bonuses on the same basis though wouldn't admit it to the public but we did work for the council in there offices so go to hear things we shouldn't.

Now work with people for another London authority in parking and they confirm it is all about money.

Burr

To be honest... I get on well with the mets lot... they are ok and speak the queens lingo... If i get one from them, then its a fair cop 99% of the time. its the NCP/westminster and camden lot that get me dancing.

Golden Square and Soho Square. Any working day and you will see no less than 6 wardens all the time... watch them at work and within 2 hours you will see the little tricks they get up to.

On the day I leave this country for good... I am going via that area.. and I'm going to have a laugh!!!

In Wakefield, there are 2 distinct types of "warden"

There's the traffic warden.... black (police style?) uniform, white shirt, black peaked cap with single yellow band round the cap. Usually carry police radio. Usually based out of police stations. Collar/service number on their shoulder. Give out non-endorseable police fixed penalty notices (£30), and are legally allowed to direct traffic. They have NO jurisdiction on council pay-and-display parking spaces AFAIK.

Then there's the council warden. Different uniform in each area... usually carry some kind of automated ticket machine. Tickets are usually at least £35. Have no discretion (ba$tards ) Have NO jurisdiction outside council-marked bays (ie. yellow lines).

These are 2 distinct "groups". I just wondered which ones people were referring to?

tbh - if you're going to have to park somewhere in an emergency for a minute or two, I'd always park on double yellows rather than in a bay and not pay......

Thumbs down

Sounds kinda like the incentive they give young offenders, get nice holidays in far away destinations or get to do good stuff like motor racing for the more offences they commit....
