Anyone remember Rally Report on BBC2, used to run for the RAC rally - had a theme tune that had no lyrics, but actually it did! and was played on BBC Radio on occassion - anyone know what it was ??? womans voice cant remember anymore

I reckon it was Jewel by Propaganda. Got the CD in the Scoob ATM

 

Damn, I have the tune in my head now, and I have also heard it on the radio but I don't know what it is. Quite a good tune actually.

 

hmm interesting, got a version of it by propaganda, but its much to hard rockish, the version Im thinking of was far more Radio 2, soft rock. Chrisse Hind esq

 

It was Duel by Propaganda

They used it for years for all the rally reports and the RAC coverage.

brings back memories of Tony Mason on the RAC rally report back in the day when it came to England !

 

Brings back the Audi Quattro, Lancia Delta and Group B supercar days for me.

The Rally GB has lost its soul for me. The Chatsworth/Clumber stages then up to Kielder etc. Those were the days.

Must be getting Old. LOL

I'd echo the above sentiments, and I'm twenty-something. Think I was quite young when the gp B cars were around. Still remember them tho!

 

Very dangerous to listen to that song while you are driving! Visions of driving a rally stage could get you into serious trouble!
