Just had a new camera installed up the road from me and I'm not sure what type it is.
It has 2 forward facing lenses one small and one a bit bigger, it also has a blue shaft under the camera unit. The rest looks like all the rest.
Is it a digital camera that is linked straight to DVLC.
I think it is the same camera as the one on the A21 to Tonbridge.

sounds like a traffic master camera that used for thier road service if so no panic. Ps i bought a snopper for the car and that saved some panic as i drive round!

If it's two lenses it'll be a truvelo i reckon,are there any lines on the road ?,if only two pairs of three a hundred feet or so apart then it's a truvelo ,they don't use radar so detectors can't pick 'em up,geodosy and the like can tell you though...

Sounds like maybe one of those IR ones, whatever they're called. If it is, there'll be a couple of strips in the road about 50 foot in front of it. IIRC a truvelo needs two separate poles as they#re a fair way apart?
Whereabouts is it? - haven't seen one or warning signs for that matter.

The camera is on the A226 directly opposite the Welsh Tavern pub next to the bus stop, past Stone house hospital and just through the traffic lights next to the entrance to the old farm.
I drove past there last night and couldn't see any lines on the road so I guess there're to come.
