cnuts with big stereos
#1
Really starting to p1ss me off now. Ive just moved into a new flat, its pretty cool, we have a balcony to sit out on - downside is that it looks out over a road, with traffic lights - so we have cars stationary outside the place for approx 2 mins.
The wide boys with there loud stereos really p1ss me off. Im all in favour of a nice stereo, standard speakers and head units are usually pretty lame - but the some people just take it too far.
Just now, tosspot, 325 B reg BMW convertible, piece of turd on wheels with a stereo that was worth more than the car. Hood down, tunes up so anyone within 2 miles can hear. Anyone walking past is just looking at him like hes crawled out from under a rock.
Whats the point?
I would also complain about loud engines doing the same, but then I have a full decat, so wouldnt be so hipocrytical(sp?) he he - quite often sit out and watch the cars, always here the scoobies a mile off

I have a full decat and quite a chunky ICE setup. I do like my loud bassy tunes, but i always turn it right down in built up areas. If i keep it down round these parts then i'm also not advertising £1k+ of ICE.

I dont think id notice your stereo Jen, unless youve done something I dont know about
Not saying where I live for want of people coming round to rob my car, though it is garaged and hidden away nicely

...you should hear it when Chris isn't in the car
Alpine head unit with uprated speakers all 'round his previous owners spent over £1000 on it, ok, so no big flashy stuff, but it'll do me
(btw, I wasn't really expecting you to publish your address on sn )

I never realised you had a maxed up stereo
Na really what you have is on my acceptable upgrade list, but it s the 4 base bins in the boot brigade at full tilt that Im on about

I think ****'s is a bit strong 'a word..
I play music loud in the car.. ok very loud, however my hifi at home (in my room - live at home) is cheap ish.. mission speakers etc etc..
I listen to the music in the car, and it sounds better at high volume.. I also like lots of bass.. so If I drive round with loud music its for me to listen to.. not for people on the street..
I just get carried away.. I do turn it down outside houses late on though or if Im stopped / waiting..

..which I think is the difference - I turn mine down if I'm driving down a high street or waiting at traffic lights in an urban area, I think the difference being the people that turn it *up* in those areas
I love music - and I love it loud ...but not so I p*ss everyone else off ...agree that Andy's choice of words was a bit strong, but then I live in a nice quiet neighbourhood and don't have to listen to it all day

ADP,
So, do you think a carefully lobbed water bomb would reach said convertible from your balcony ? And also, do you have good cover from view from the road if said convertible driver should look up after being soaked ?
Cheers
Ian
